My New
"MaxiTear"
Page Four -
Beginning 9/24/01
9/24/01 - Finally, I've
started building the inner workings of the trailer. This is looking from
the back to the front with the closet on the right and a countertop on the left.

This is from the front looking back. You can see the front of the closet where the refrigerator will be. The countertop is at the level where the cross pieces are located on the right. I'll show the closet interior later.
9/25/01 - We're about done wrapping the exterior with the cedar. Here's some pics of the front and back view while we were working. I guess you could say, we were photographed coming and going!

This is what the interior looks like so far...I'm even happier with it than I thought I'd be! A neighbor asked if we were taking orders yet...we're constantly getting thumbs up from the folks coming by.

9/26/01
- Here'sࠠthe back window. I got it framed in at the end of the day
yesterday. Now it's back to my regular work day... :-(
10/8/01
- I've been working intermittently on the trailer throughout the past week and I
now am able to show the skeleton of the kitchen cabinet. The hole on the
left will have the refrigerator, above and in front of the water tanks (another
is coming in tomorrow) is the sink and on the right is three drawers - the top
will have a butane burner in it. The whole front will be paneled.
11/4/01
- Yes, things have been happening, just no time to get pics done and
posted...I have the plumbing almost done, the drawers built, and most of the
paneling in. Oh yeah, the most important thing...we ordered and received
the mattress for the bed - Carolyn is very happy with that!!! :) We've
found the lights we are going to use in the trailer...Lowe's
Hardware had these Malibu lights that are on a 12v system. They're light
plastic and don't add any weight...they just look like it! Also, the stove
we found at the county fair and it is legal to use inside. It is going in
the top drawer of the kitchen cabinet (had to build the cabinetry specific to
that size.) Now I am going to work on the cabinet above the sink and above the booth.
Then framing out the windows and putting in the glass. Details are
continuing to come together...still have lots of little details to get to.

11/23/01 - OK, OK....Yes, I've been working on the trailer...it's been a little difficult to get pics taken and posted. But here's the results of a lot of time and effort. As you can see, we've got the lights in, the cabinet almost done, trim around the windows, and I am hoping to have the booth built and completed by the end of this weekend. I'll keep putting pics on throughout the weekend. We also have the mattress and yesterday, Carolyn made the cover for it (she said it was the first time she ever made a fitted sheet!!!) So here's the first installment of pics.

I'm building the booth in
the
front.
This is the cabinet above the sink.

Looking from the back to the
front.
Here's the kitchen.
The closet has built in
cubbies! The drawers are simply awesome!

Here's the trim around the
windows and a good pic of the lights.
11/25/01 - We got the booth seats covered!! YEAH! They still have to be finally installed, but that will come after I get done building in the table and shelving units that are going to be there. We are continuing to change our plans as we go, and we're looking forward to our new home away from home!!! Here's some pics of the seats and our "artsy" pic of the trailer in the dark!!!

We're still working on the details...keep checking back for our progress!
